The Description of Anxiety Levels in Prsoners with Narcotics Abuse

The numbers of narcotics abusers are increasing coming from all level of societies. Drug users try to increase their consumption of narcotics to get a feeling of pleasure. One of the effects of mental health on narcotics abusers is an emotional crisis with the emergence of a person's discomfort.Anxiety can be seen through various responses such as difficulty sleeping, not being able to focus, panic, hallucinations or even suicide. The study aims  to give description of anxiety level of the prisoners with narcotics abuse in the Rumah Tahanan Negara Kelas IIB Bangli. This is a quantitative study using  descriptive approach. 48 respondents were taken by using purposive sampling technique  HARS (Hamilton Anxiety Rating Scale) is the instrument resaerch. Most of the respondents experienced moderate anxiety level namely as many as 16 people (33.3%). The abuse of narcotics has a significant impact on the Prisoners. Efforts in reducing the level of anxiety can be done by increasing spiritual development, playing sports and creating rehabilitation programs for prisoners with narcotics abusers.
